Comcast TV and High-Speed Internet

All condominium units at Shadowood are provided with Comcast's Expanded Basic (analog) video service as part of the condominium's amenities package. Unit owners are charged for the service on the monthly billing and assessment statement mailed by Koger.

Comcast's high-speed internet service will eventually be included in the condominium amenity package. We anticipate that Internet services may be rolled out in late 2006 or early 2007 depending on regulatory matters, the weather and contractor resources.

If you have no TV signal, or your video or internet services are not working correctly, call the number below for assistance.

Channel 10 is the Shadowood Community Channel. This is a private channel available only to the 450 Shadowood units.  If you would like to place content on the channel, please send an email to webmaster@shadowoodcondos.com with your request.

 

The Shadowood office has a number of pre-cut video connection cables available for connecting your TV set to the cable outlets as well as channel line-ups and other Comcast marketing information. 

 

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

 

Shadowood bills condominium unit owners (but not tenants) for expanded basic analog video services (and eventually internet services) only. Residents will be responsible for subscribing to and paying for any extra services, including digital cable, premium channels, HDTV and others.

 

SCA will not allow any contractors to enter condominium units under any circumstances: you must be present and grant access. The wiring and cabling installed between each condominium unit and the Comcast access pedestal behind each building is private property. Any repairs and expenses with replacements or maintenance to these cables are the responsibility of the condominium owner.

As a reminder, the bulk pricing is for all 450 Shadowood units; there is no option to be excluded from the services or charges.

Summary:  Each apartment is connected to the Comcast network and provided with analog video programming service of approximately 85 channels and connected to the Shadowood's high-speed internet network.  Each apartment will be given one video (TV) and one internet modem and connection; you will provide your own televisions and computers and any network or routers necessary to serve your apartment.

The Shadowood TV Channel is included in the service and replaced the existing channel 10 on the analog and digital lineups. The previous content on Channel 10 is no longer available within the Shadowood property.

Comcast has begun updating and upgrading its network throughout the Shadowood property.  You may have noticed construction vehicles parked throughout the property and some disturbed landscaping.  Once the tunneling and construction is complete, the disturbed areas will be restored to good-or-better-than condition by Comcast.  Work on this part of the project will continue, weather permitting, with services rollouts beginning after final build out and commissioning is complete.
