Xfinity Digital TV and High-Speed Internet Services

IMPORTANT UPDATE: On September 20, 2011, the Xfinity network converted to all-digital service. To receive any video services, you must have a converter device/box to do so. Contact Xfinity, NOT SCA, at the number below for any cable or internet assistance and guidance.

All condominium units at Shadowood are provided with Comcast's video and internet services as part of the condominium's utility and amenities package. As with all assessments, unit owners (not tenants) are charged for these services, at prices which may change from time to time, on the monthly billing and assessment statement from the Association's management agent. Effective October, 19 2009, the service package includes the following:

  1. Digital, enhanced/expanded video services of more than 225 channels (find the current TV channels here)
  2. One digital converter box for each unit
  3. On Demand service with thousands of free and pay movies, shows and tutorials on demand
  4. Free connections for other cable-ready TVs in each unit
  5. One remote control for each unit
  6. Economy (1.5 Mb) High-Speed Internet service for each unit
  7. One cable modem for each unit
  8. One high-speed internet connection to a computer in each unit
  9. Free installation and maintenance
  10. Billing through SCA
  11. Closed circuit Shadowood TV on channel 970

High-speed internet service is included in the condominium amenity package.

    For ALL Comcast customer support call 888-889-5471 (Monday - Saturday 8 AM - 9 PM)  -- DO NOT call the Shadowood office!

 

Channel 970 is the Shadowood Community Channel. This is a closed-circuit channel available to the 450 Shadowood units and on our website.  If you would like to place content on the channel, please send an email to The Webmaster with your request.

 

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

 

American Management of Virginia, on behalf of the Association, bills all Shadowood condominium unit owners (but not tenants) for video and internet services. Residents are responsible for subscribing to, and paying for, any extra services, including premium channels, HDTV, higher-bandwidth internet services and others. A cable box is required for all video services, and Shadowood residents are responsible for obtaining and returning all customer-premises equipment (CPE) including converters, remotes and modems. The Association will neither supply, collect, nor be responsible for, the CPE.

 

SCA will not allow any contractors to enter condominium units under any circumstances: you must be present and grant access. The wiring and cabling installed between each condominium unit and the Comcast access pedestal behind each building is private property belonging to the SCA unit owner. Each SCA unit owner owns and is responsible for these cables; as such, any repairs to, and expenses with replacements or maintenance of, these cables are the responsibility of the condominium owner.

As a reminder, the bulk pricing is for all 450 Shadowood units; there is no option to be excluded from the services or charges.
